How Parent's can Play the Right Role

Many times I had phone called from teenagers asking about their parents who treat them like a child. At the other times I also had phone calls from parents who think that their children are not listening to them any longer.
Both situation are actually derived from the same root. Parents are not playing the right role for a certain child. In fact many parents are so reluctant to change the way they treat the children as they believe what they are doing is the right thing for their children.
Dear Mom and Dad...
We have to realize that time and many situation has changed. We cannot treat our children the way we were treated long time ago. The disobedience of our children should be a wake up call for us to realize that something need to be rearranged. There are certain approach that to be improved. So we have to change ourselves, improve our knowledge and skills, and be willing to new techniques in approaching our children.
What are the skills and techniques we need to have...?
One of them is communication skills. How to communicate with our kids is really matter. Another skills is our views of our child, what we think about our children? Do we have any trust in them? How suspicious are we? Please answer this questions and have a great new experience with your children.
Answering those questions will help us in raising our children.
